Industries
From retail, cosmetic and pharmaceutical product packaging to moulded components for the automotive industry, coloured plastics bring colour to many everyday objects. Plastics can be found in almost every commercial, industrial and home environment where their material versatility and flexibility allow for thousands of unique applications.
Colour plays an incredibly important role in the marketability of plastic products but plastics are also chosen for their unique functional properties in specific applications. We currently produce masterbatches, pigments and additives for the following industries:
Packaging
From bottles and caps for packaging cosmetics, pharmaceutical products and consumer goods to retail grocery bags, medical waste and refuse bags, Colourite Masterbatch produce a range of products for the packaging industry in South Africa. Whether you are looking for a brightly coloured bottle to draw attention or require food safe packaging for products in transit and on shelf, we have the capability to find the best solution for you.
Building & Construction
The building industry is known for having strict building regulations and standards that need to be adhered to. Plastic is an important material because of the functional properties it can offer such as durability, weather resistance and aesthetic appeal. Amongst a range of products we supply liquid colours for specialist floor coatings and can formulate colour and additive combinations for many applications in the building and construction industry.
Automotive
Our range of masterbatches include formulations for engineering polymers used throughout the automotive industry. Plastic is widely used in the automotive industry because many components can be designed and manufactured to suit specific applications. Some parts may require high heat resistance, others may be moulded into interior panels with a brand matched colour and premium finish. Plastic is also lightweight leading to improved fuel efficiency and other benefits.
Agriculture
As one of the most important industries globally, the agriculture industry makes use of plastic in thousands of different ways. From crop production and livestock equipment to storage and energy efficiency, Colourite Masterbatch are able to provide masterbatches for a range of applications to suit your requirements.
Textiles & Fibers
Synthetic fiber and textiles are woven into our daily lives. From strong and durable material for wrapping and packaging to carpets and even safety belts. High performing plastics require the best blend of colours and functional additives to produce products that are not only application specific but also cheaper and stronger. Some of the products we currently provide masterbatches for include strapping for safety nets and pallet wrapping nets.
Home, Sport & Leisure
A combination of colour and functional properties are required for most plastics used in the home and outdoors. Whether you need a bright blue or natural hue to blend in with the environment, we have the colour matching capability and expertise.
